How to Get Started

From first contact to first kitchen session — most members are up and running within a week.

1

Apply Online or Book a Tour

Fill out our contact form or come see the space in person. Tours are free and take about 20 minutes. We'll walk you through the kitchen, show you the equipment, and help you figure out which plan makes sense for your business.

If you're not local or just want to get started quickly, you can complete the entire application online.

2

Submit Your Documents

To use the kitchen legally, we need a copy of your food handler's card for everyone who will be using the space. This is a California Health Department requirement — not optional.

You'll upload your food handler card directly through our secure booking system. If your card has expired, you'll need to renew it before we can activate your membership.

Need a food handler card? The Food Handler Card (ServSafe or county-approved equivalent) takes about 2 hours to complete online and costs around $15. We can point you to approved options.
3

Get Approved & Sign Your Agreement

Once we've reviewed your documents, we'll send over your membership agreement. This typically takes 1–2 business days. Food truck operators also receive their commissary letter at this stage — the document you'll need to show your county health inspector.

We'll go over house rules, scheduling procedures, and how to access the kitchen. Everything is straightforward — no jargon, no confusing contracts.

4

Start Booking & Using the Kitchen

Once you're approved, you can start booking kitchen sessions through our scheduling system. Monthly members book in advance; drop-in users book based on availability.

The kitchen is available 24/7. You'll have your own access and full use of the commercial equipment during your booked time. Leave the space clean and ready for the next member — that's the only rule that really matters.

  • Book online or via text
  • 24/7 access with your membership
